Subhash owns a small shop that he
runs out of a part of his house. World Vision India helped him set up the shop
by providing supplies for it. Subhash has a family of 5 to support. He has 3
children – a daughter, Manisha, who studies in the 7th standard and 2 sons,
Rohit and Deven who are 7 & 8 years old respectively. Subhash met with an
accident disabling him in the right hip and leg. He needs help to even move
around and needs constant medical attention. This accounts for a major part of
his monthly earnings.
Currently he stocks only
children's confectionery in his shop which doesn't bring in much
revenue. He plans to expand his shop and start selling grocery. He would then
be able to support the livelihood and education of his 3 children.
