Need - Toilets for Santhome Deaf Home
Location - Chennai
The Santhome School for the Deaf was started in 1912 to support children who are hearing impaired. At present World Vision is supporting around 185 children in this home. The children attending this residential school include both day scholars and hostellers residing in Santhome Home for the Deaf. Around 137 boys and 43 girls attend this school from across the country. The children do not have proper sanitation facilities since the toilets in the school are not in a good condition. At present, the children in the school use the hostel toilets. Since the level of the road is higher than the level of toilets in the school, the drain leakage is making it difficult for the children to use the toilets in the school. The toilets are in need of re-construction so that the children are able to have access to clean and hygienic sanitation facilities. Your help to construct new toilets in the home will help these children have a hygienic environment.
